Mission Hospital - Online Class
Get breastfeeding off to the best start possible with our virtual breastfeeding basics class, taught by our international board-certified lactation consultants. This class is designed for expectant mothers where we prepare you for breastfeeding before your newborn arrives. It is a free class, and is held online.
1 Hospital Drive
The PTACC course provides education to nurses who care for admitted pediatric trauma patients. The content was designed to close the identified educational gap for this group. The course will feature modules on the following topics as they relate to<br>pediatric trauma: trauma assessment, shock, abdominal, head and spine, musculoskeletal, thoracic, face/neck/eye, burns, and physical abuse. Rotating skill stations will also be available.<br><br>Society of Trauma Nurses is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This course has been awarded 8.0 contact hours.
Mission Hospital
During this hospital tour, expectant parents will become familiar with the spaces and routines they'll encounter during their birth experience. The tour begins in the Labor & Delivery unit, where your instructor will walk you through what to expect when you arrive. You'll see a labor and delivery room, learn about available comfort measures and equipment, and have the chance to ask questions.<br><br>Next, you'll visit the postpartum unit to get a sense of where you'll recover and bond with your baby after birth. We'll review newborn care procedures, rooming-in practices, and what to bring for both you and your baby. The tour also covers practical details—parking, after-hours entry and where to check in—so you can feel confident and prepared when the time comes.<br><br>This session is designed to help reduce anxiety, build familiarity with your care environment, and empower you to make informed decisions for a positive birth experience.<br><br>Please ensure to register each guest joining the tour separately.
