Asheville Specialty Hospital is the only long-term acute care hospital in the Western North Carolina region accredited by The Joint Commission.

We provide dedicated care for serious medical conditions, such as severe wounds, respiratory, cardiac and renal failure, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries and major surgical complications.

Our multidisciplinary team approach provides you with a well-coordinated treatment plan. In addition to doctors and nurses, our staff includes wound care specialists, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, registered dieticians and pharmacists.
